thanks to ai I'm writing one-off programs to scratch any itch I have. I created a complete spaced-repetition japanese app that does exactly how I want it to work. ai is literally a liberatory brain expanding technology if you use it correctly, instead of one-shotting yourself with genai porn or believing it's your girlfriend

the reason I don't put out much is I then end up with brainworms going "you can make this polished and useful to not just yourself" and then get stuck in the muck
but the smol one-offs I make very regularly, I just don't publish them :0

That's one of my next projects too. Create language learning apps for myself. Gotta clear the slate of all the other side projects first though.
Thanks will probably steal and fork

I've finally wrapped VSCode in a container and will be doing more in-depth testing with it's limitations soon. This will *not* be deleting any databases and backups anytime soon.
Better than my idea!! I cobbled together a D&D hexcrawl generator which makes a map, creates towns, of varying sizes with routes between, creates NPCs, treasure tables, hirelings, rumor generator, monsters, weather and encounters.
Totally useless to anyone but me and does nothing of any real value when I should be doing stuff like language language learning or working.
