@SPCmovienight Hellsing Ultimate is almost shockingly good except for the fact that they just adapted the manga accurately, unlike the godawful first Hellsing anime where they took like 5 pages of the manga and stretched it out to a half hour of everyone standing around going "heh, religion? More like... stupidity! The religious sheeple are so easily controlled, fufufu" just over and over. In Hellsing the manga and the OVA they just cut off the conversation by surprise instagibbing the bad guy (and blowing police girl's huge hefty melker right the fuck off).
The fact that they adapted the manga is why it's not "shockingly" good, it's like "oh wait yeah they should've just done that in the first place." It's not so surprising when the source material was already good, then you realize it's what you SHOULD be expecting. It's better to not be surprised that's something's good, it's better when it should be good and then it is good.
